The Legion of Mary is a global Catholic lay organization, active in the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum and in our parish. It is dedicated to the spiritual and apostolic mission of the Church under the patronage of the Virgin Mary. Founded in 1921 by Frank Duff, it engages lay members in active apostolate works, such as visiting the sick, supporting the marginalized, and promoting Christian values through prayer and service. In Kerala, local praesidia (groups) meet weekly for prayer, planning, and reporting on apostolic activities, fostering personal holiness and evangelization. The Legion strengthens parish communities by encouraging devotion to Mary and active participation in Church life.
